The Next Door Boys competed against eight other high school aged bands tonight at Rocketown in Nashville, TN. The event was sponsored by Rocketown for their 17th anniversary in the community.
Founded in 1994 by Contemporary Christian Music Artist Michael W. Smith, Rocketown is a faith based youth outreach facility in the heart of Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Their approach to working with youth is holistic, with programs and services nurturing the mind, body, and spirit. They engage youth through attraction-based facilities and programs, like the Sixth Avenue Skatepark, live music and concert venues, Coffee & Snack Bar, and after school academic enrichment and creative arts programs.
Longtime Rocketown alumni, On The Tip Of Your Tongue, who came in second last year, placed first with their mix of stage performance and an all original set. NDB performed two covers and their original, "What Did I Do". Originally written by guitarist, Miles Morrow, who performed the song at the Acoustic Guitar Project at the Country Music Hall of Fame, the band "rocked" it up and the rest is history.
Check out their performance below and thanks to all the supporters and fans who supported us and turned out for the band! And congratulations to the Next Door Boys!
